After three games on the road, Susitna Valley is heading back home. They will take on the Ninilchik Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Back in December of 2023, Susitna Valley blew past Cook Inlet Academy, posting a 46-13 victory on the road. 46 seems to be a good number for Susitna Valley as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Ninilchik put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 51-27 margin over Non Varsity Opponent. The victory was just what Ninilchik needed coming off of a 49-17 defeat in their prior game.
Susitna Valley's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29 points. As for Ninilchik, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Everything came up roses for Susitna Valley against Ninilchik in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 55-9 victory. With Susitna Valley ahead 40-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.
