The New Kent Trojans can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against Jamestown by a score of 77-68. Given New Kent's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Eagles are ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Will Ross continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with five assists and four steals. Jordan Carr was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
New Kent's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-5. As for Jamestown, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Smithfield the next time they take the court. New Kent will host the Packers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
