Indian River took care of business in their home opener. They blew past Norview 53-26. Indian River were heavily favored coming into this match, and the results showcase why.
Meanwhile, Lakeland might have drawn first blood against Wilson last Thursday, but it was Wilson who got the last laugh. Lakeland took a 7-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilson. The loss was a vexing one since Lakeland was expected to win based on their state ranking.
Indian River's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Lakeland's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Indian River's success rolls on or if Lakeland are able to steal their positive momentum.
