They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 61-23 victory over Redland Christian Academy. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Marathon's 21-point performance the match before.
Marathon had a senior duo take command as XAVIER GRANT scored 17 points along with 4 steals and ADRIAN CRUZ scored 14 points along with 6 steals. DAESHAWN HOLMES was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Marathon's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Redland Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Marathon will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Keys Gate at 7:00 p.m. As for Redland Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Colonial Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Colonial Christian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
