After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Somerset Academy South Homestead, the Marathon Dolphins were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 61-23 victory over Redland Christian Academy. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Marathon's 21-point performance the match before.
Marathon had a senior duo take command as XAVIER GRANT scored 17 points along with 4 steals and ADRIAN CRUZ scored 14 points along with 6 steals. DAESHAWN HOLMES was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Marathon's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Redland Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Marathon will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Keys Gate at 7:00 p.m. As for Redland Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Colonial Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Colonial Christian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
