The Uintah Utes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 62-32 defeat at the hands of Layton Christian Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Uintah has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Uintah still got an impressive performance from Brayden Murray, who scored nine points.
Uintah struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Layton Christian Academy pulled down 14 offensive rebounds.
Layton Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Vuk Zarubica, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Otavio Armani, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Uintah has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Layton Christian Academy, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3.
Uintah will challenge the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Provo will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Layton Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Bruins at 7:00 p.m.
