The Handley Judges put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 77-32 victory over Millbrook. Handley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.
Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Valentina Burrill, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jane Moreland, who scored nine points.
Handley's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Millbrook, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7.
Coincidentally, Handley and Millbrook will both be playing Brentsville District the next time they take the court. Handley will head out to face Brentsville District at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Millbrook will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
