It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Eagle's Landing Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past the Eagle's Landing Eagles with a 61-57 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Chargers as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Leading Eagle's Landing Christian Academy to victory were Jazmine Lopez and Natasha Smith. Lopez posted 26 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, while Smith went 6 of 11 en route to 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals. With that strong performance, Lopez is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Sweed, who put up four points and five rebounds.

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-15. As for Eagle's Landing, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11.
