On Saturday, Paxton beat Marion County 58-48. The win made it back-to-back wins for Paxton.
Paxton can attribute much of their success to Hydie Varnum, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Ward, who scored 14 points.
Paxton's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Marion County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Paxton will be playing at home against Baker at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Marion County is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Grundy County at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. Hopefully Grundy County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Monday.
