The Lafayette Generals will venture away from home to square off against the Campbellsville Eagles at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Lafayette's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Paducah Tilghman. The three-run effort marked the Generals' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
The result came thanks to Abby Winkler's shutout, as she gave up just a hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Anna Clay Denton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Brynna Harris was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Campbellsville made sure to put some runs up on the board against Edmonson County on Monday. The Eagles blew past the Wildcats 12-6.
Riley Underwood spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, Aubreigh Knifley was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Keeley Dicken, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Campbellsville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive games.
Lafayette pushed their record up to 12-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. As for Campbellsville, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lafayette hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .328. However, it's not like Campbellsville struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
