Basketball Recap: Salt Lake Academy Piles Up the Points Against Dugway

Salt Lake Academy was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Dugway on Friday. The Salt Lake Academy Griffins breezed by the Dugway Mustangs to the tune of 75-42. The Griffins' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Braylon Brock, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Johnson, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 14 points and six assists.

Salt Lake Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Dugway's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tanner Thackeray, who posted 24 points, and Gary Williams Jr, who had 15 points. That was a full 57.1% of Dugway's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

The victory got Salt Lake Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Dugway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
