The Bronson Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They received a tough blow as they fell 62-48 to Springport. Bronson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Springport apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Bronson still got an impressive performance from Kamron Brackett, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Sayler Wotta was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Springport was led to victory by Brody Baum and Braydon Hawes. Baum scored 16 points along with five rebounds, while Hawes scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baum has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dallas Higelmire, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Bronson's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Springport, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bronson will take on Quincy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Quincy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for Springport, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Maple Valley at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Springport focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
