The Owatonna Huskies will head out on the road to challenge the Hastings Raiders at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Owatonna focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
After a string of four wins, Owatonna's good fortune finally ran out. The contest between Owatonna and Mayo wasn't particularly close, with Owatonna falling 67-51.
Owatonna's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Maryn Pool, who scored 16 points along with four steals, and Jersey Coleman who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carsyn Brady, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Hastings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 72-43 win over North. Hastings has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Owatonna now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Hastings, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.
