Basketball Recap: Grand Traverse Academy Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

If Traverse City Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Grand Traverse Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Megan Pavwoski. The Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs put the hurt on the Traverse City Christian Sabres with a sharp 43-19 victory on Thursday thanks in part to Pavwoski, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten blocks. Those ten blocks gave her a new career-high.

Grand Traverse Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.6 points. As for Traverse City Christian, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grand Traverse Academy has already played their next game (against Central Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Traverse City Christian will head out to face off against Baldwin at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
