Glens Falls extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 3-3-1 in the process. They came up short against the South Glens Falls Bulldogs, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 on Monday.
Brayden Bennett was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
As for South Glens Falls, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.7 runs this season.
On South Glens Falls' side, Mikey Plourde and Justin Christensen made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Plourde struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Christensen struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Plourde went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Christensen went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Christensen is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Ethan Ford and Jameson DeLancey did most of the damage at the plate: Ford went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while DeLancey went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Ford has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Andrew Narduzzo, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Glens Falls didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-6 win against Afton on the 17th. As for South Glens Falls, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Amsterdam on the 17th.
