Enloe is 0-9 against Rolesville since March of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Enloe Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rolesville Rams at 4:00 p.m. Enloe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.5 runs per game this season.
Rolesville will be up against a hot Enloe team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Enloe's pitcher stepped up to hand Southeast Raleigh a 22-0 shutout on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly 22 runs.

Ella Thompson was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs.
In other batting news, Madison Haga was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Mary Garland was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Enloe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .818. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Rolesville came up short against Corinth Holders on Tuesday, falling 16-1. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rolesville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Bolster, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Enloe's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rolesville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Rolesville's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Enloe has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Rolesville, though, as they've been averaging only 2.2 strikeouts. Will Enloe keep running through batters, or will Rolesville buck the trend?
Enloe came up short against Rolesville in their previous meeting back in March of 2019, falling 6-3. Can Enloe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
