On Saturday, Williams came up short against Bourgade Catholic and fell 50-41.
Despite the loss, Williams still got an impressive performance from Kai Mortensen , who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Mortensen 's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kyliegh Amos, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Bourgade Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-7 record this season.
Williams will be playing in front of their home fans against El Capitan/Centennial Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bourgade Catholic and Wickenburg will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
