The Walkertown Wolfpack will face off against the Reidsville Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Walkertown has three straight victories, Reidsville has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Reidsville's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Walkertown hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Wolfpack's pitchers stepped up to hand Parkland an 11-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Wolfpack might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Caden Joyce made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
In other pitching news, Caleb Mobley looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Dakota Larimore, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. David Olmedo was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Walkertown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Reidsville came up short against West Stokes last Friday, falling 12-2.
Walkertown pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Reidsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
Walkertown couldn't quite finish off Reidsville when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 4-2. Will the Wolfpack have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
