After a string of four wins, Jonesboro's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Milford Bulldogs by a score of 43-41. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 49-40 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2021.

Milford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cassidy Washington out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards. Amiya Smith was another key player, putting up six points along with eight boards and three steals.

Jonesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Milford, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which somehow still isn't as good as their 14-4 record this season.

Jonesboro and Ovilla Christian will face off at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Milford, they will have a chance to turn things around after yesterday's loss Keene at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday after yesterday's loss.
