 Despite the  defeat, Laughlin saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Kobe Phillips  went 6 of 9  en route to 17  points. What's more,  Phillips also posted a 67%  shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's  posted since back in December of 2024.  Bryson Drescher was another key player,  putting up ten points.
