The Meadow Heights Panthers's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 54-47 victory over Advance. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Meadow Heights also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Advance lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Maggie Stubenrauch, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stubenrauch has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalee Roper, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Even though they lost, Advance were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meadow Heights pushed their record up to 8-8 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Advance, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
Meadow Heights will head out on the road to square off against the Blue Jays on Thursday. As for Advance, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Puxico and three for the Hornets.
