The Palm Valley FIREBIRDS will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Palm Valley's favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home while Coachella Valley has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
In what's become a running theme this season, Palm Valley gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 66-35 victory over Weaver at home. Palm Valley pushed the score to 55-18 by the end of the third, a deficit Weaver cut but never quite recovered from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palm Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Donovan Knott, who scored 22 points along with six steals and five assists. Knott hasn't dropped below five steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Matteo Lam, who scored 18 points along with eight assists and six steals.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Coachella Valley walked away with it. They really took it to the Royals for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-29 victory at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-14.
Franky Aguirre and Israel Garcia were among the main playmakers for Coachella Valley as the former scored 12 points and the latter scored 14 points.
Palm Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Coachella Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 10-18.
