Texas Christian has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the School of the Woods Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. School of the Woods took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Texas Christian, who comes in off a win.
Texas Christian can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past The Connection School of Houston 77-38 at home.
Texas Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daniel Williams out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Jean Hirwa was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, School of the Woods came up short against the Eagles on Friday and fell 55-44. School of the Woods has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Texas Christian pushed their record up to 16-10 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for School of the Woods, their loss dropped their record down to 13-17.
Texas Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over the Wildcats when the teams last played back in January, winning 43-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Texas Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
