Villa Grove took  a  20-point  loss the last time they faced off against Sangamon Valley/Tri-City, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Devils won a  contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Storm 25-24. The  win was nothing new for the Blue Devils as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Villa Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Thomas Vandeventer, who picked up 66 receiving yards and a pair of  TDs. Those  66  receiving yards gave  Vandeventer a new career-high.
Villa Grove's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Sangamon Valley/Tri-City,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-6.
