Even though they lost, Sparta smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Red Bud only pulled down eight offensive boards.
Red Bud found their leader in sophomore Talia Carter, who put up 12 points. Nora Rothlisberger also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Sparta's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Red Bud, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8.
Sparta has already played their next contest (against Elverado/Zeigler-Royalton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Red Bud will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Marissa/Coulterville at 7:30 p.m.
