After two weeks on the road, Macon is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Centralia at 7:00 PM. Macon are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the match prepared for a fight.
It was all tied up at the half for Macon and Palmyra last Friday, but Macon stepped up in the second half. Macon secured a 12-7 W over Palmyra. Senior Nash Waller, who picked up 100 yards on the ground and accumulated 181 passing yards, was a major factor in Macon's success. That makes it eight straight good games in a row from Waller.
Meanwhile, Centralia got themselves on the board against Hamilton/Warsaw, but Hamilton/Warsaw never followed suit. Everything came up roses for Centralia against Hamilton/Warsaw as the team secured a 46-0 win. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Centralia, who can brag about three blowout wins.
Their wins bumped Macon to 6-2 and Centralia to 5-3. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Macon and Centralia clash.
