Softball Recap: Oxnard Wins Going Away Against Pacifica

Oxnard won the last time they faced Pacifica and things went their way on Friday too. The Yellowjackets blew past the Tritons 9-1. Considering the Yellowjackets have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Rachel Godoy, who fired off two home runs, four RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Layla Mukul was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Oxnard kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pacifica only managed four.

The win made it two in a row for Oxnard and bumps their season record up to 7-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Pacifica, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Oxnard will square off against rival Buena at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pacifica is set to take on their familiar foe Dos Pueblos at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
