Sultana had won four straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped their record up to 19-7 to make it five. They came out on top against the Apple Valley Sun Devils by a score of 4-1. The Sultans haven't had any issues with the Sun Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Savannah Vanderpool made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.
