Basketball Recap: Broomfield Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Broomfield had won nine straight road games and Reece Gilpatrick did her part to make it ten on Tuesday. The Broomfield Eagles breezed past the Mead Mavericks to the tune of 65-38 thanks in part to Gilpatrick, who went 10-for-12 on her way to 25 points in addition to six steals and four blocks. The game was her third in a row with at least 18 points.

Olivia Kim was another key player, going 7-for-8 en route to 20 points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in field goal percentage (88%).

Mead's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darby Haley, who posted nine points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Madi Clark, who had 11 points and six rebounds.

Broomfield's victory bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Mead, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 19-3.

Broomfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-22 win against Fairview on the 21st. As for Mead, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-47 victory against Holy Family on the 21st.
