The Highland Rams suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Friday. 2024 welcomed they with a 51-30 loss courtesy of Preston. Highland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Highland still got an impressive performance from Rian Pokibro, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Highland has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Preston, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
Highland will be playing at home against Blackfoot at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Blackfoot presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Highland in Idaho (Blackfoot is ranked 21st, while Highland is ranked 93rd). As for Preston, they will head out on the road to face off against Century at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Century focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
