The Mountain View Generals will head out on the road to square off against the Clarke County Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain View is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Mountain View had to suffer through a rough 72-18 loss at the hands of Central Woodstock. While losing is never fun, Mountain View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Central Woodstock is ranked 65th).
Meanwhile, Clarke County put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Madison County 72-37 on the road.
Mountain View dropped their record down to 0-22 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight at home. As for Clarke County, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.
Mountain View took a serious blow against Clarke County when the teams last played back in January, falling 86-13. Can Mountain View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
