Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Adena

Adena won the last time they faced Southeastern and things went their way on Monday too. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Warriors have won nine games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Allie Bossert was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Adriana Guarnieri was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI.

The win (which was Adena's third in a row) raised their record to 12-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Southeastern, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Adena will host Unioto at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Shermans have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Southeastern, they will head out to square off against Amanda-Clearcreek at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aces have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.21 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
