Despite the defeat, SA Roosevelt saw an underclassman step up: Maddison Castillo scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Castillo scored a full 70% of SA Roosevelt's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
SA Roosevelt has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 14 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season. As for Reagan, their victory bumped their record up to 17-12.
SA Roosevelt will head out on the road to face off against Marshall at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marshall presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than SA Roosevelt in Texas (Marshall is ranked 353rd, while SA Roosevelt is ranked 960th). As for Reagan, they will be playing at home against Brandeis at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
