The Norfolk Catholic Knights won the last time they faced the Stanton Mustangs, and things went their way on Thursday too. Norfolk Catholic simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Stanton 57-28 at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Norfolk Catholic.
Avery Yosten was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 27 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Norfolk Catholic's points. Another player making a difference was Eva Hartzell, who scored 7 points along with 5 steals.
Despite the loss, Stanton still got an impressive performance from Olivia Hupp, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Norfolk Catholic now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Stanton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Norfolk Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Neumann at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Stanton will be home for the holidays to greet Wakefield on Friday.
