Warren Township strolled past Grant Community with points to spare, taking the game 59-40. Given Warren Township's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Grant Community is ranked 382nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Nari Powers, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kashaya Love, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Warren Township is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 17-12 record this season. As for Grant Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-17.
