There's no place like home for the Bowen Boilermakers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Monday. They blew past Hirsch 31-10. Given Bowen's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while Hirsch is ranked 634th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bowen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kimora Myles led the charge by scoring 22 points along with 3 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Myles has scored at least 25% of Bowen's points. The team also got some help courtesy of D'Mya Adams, who scored 6 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals.
Bowen now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hirsch, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Bowen will head out on the road to face off against Hancock at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hirsch, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Tilden at 5:00 p.m. Tilden is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
