The Bradley Bears will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Lafayette County Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bradley posted their biggest victory since December 5, 2023 two weeks ago. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Oden 49-14 at home. Given Bradley's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Oden is ranked 265th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Lafayette County entered their tilt with Oden with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Lafayette County breezed by Oden on the road to the tune of 52-18.
Lafayette County's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Trinity McKinney, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals, and JaMaya Davis, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Morse, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Bradley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Lafayette County, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.
Everything came up roses for Bradley against Lafayette County when the teams last played on January 2nd as the team secured a 58-22 win. Does Bradley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lafayette County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
