The Tavares Bulldogs will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the East Ridge Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Tavares is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They were dealt a 32-0 defeat at the hands of Lake Minneola on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.
Meanwhile, East Ridge took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat South Lake 45-0.
Tavares better keep an eye on Kourtnei Locke. She was instrumental in East Ridge's win, picking up 83 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
East Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Nolani Hernandez, Astrid Vargas, Shenoa Zayas-Nigaglioni, and Grace Roman picked up one apiece.
