The Angleton Wildcats came into Tuesday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took their match on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 77-41 win over Santa Fe. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Angleton also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Despite the loss, Santa Fe still got an impressive performance from Aidan Jewell, who scored 17 points. Kaidan Mata was another key contributor, scoring three points along with two steals.
Santa Fe struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Angleton's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-18. As for Santa Fe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season.
Angleton will head out on the road to face off against the Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Fe will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Stingarees at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
