Softball Recap: Forsyth Has No Trouble Against Hollister

Forsyth's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Hollister Tigers 18-7. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Lili Roberts, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those home runs were her first of the season. Libby Hunter was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Roberts wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Forsyth lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Forsyth's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Hollister, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forsyth will challenge Crane at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hollister, they will take on Fair Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
