Peyton Steele made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Midway is 4-1 when Steele posts two or more runs, but 3-9 otherwise.
Meanwhile, while Sale Creek put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Lookout Valley. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Yellowjackets. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.
Jackson McClendon was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Tyler Marler was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Midway has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Sale Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Midway came up short against Sale Creek in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 8-4. Can the Green Wave avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
