New Haven (Ind.) put up eight points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 29-6 victory over
Columbia City (Ind.).
After taking the lead on a
Vance Shearer touchdown pass to
Adam Hoffer in the first quarter, the Bulldogs were up 13-7 at the half.
New Haven grew its lead to 13 points entering the fourth quarter. NH's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by
D'Andre Smith.
TJ Moeller was the top performer for the Bulldogs. He kicked three extra points.
Columbia City's only touchdown came on a defensive touchdown in the second quarter.
New Haven had given up an average of 16.8 points prior to the contest.
A 62-33 New Haven victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Columbia City defeated DeKalb 34-12 last week.
In a Northeast Hoosier game next week New Haven (6-0) takes on Bellmont, and Columbia City (3-3) will go up against East Noble also in a Northeast Hoosier game.
