Basketball Game Preview: Bloomingdale Blazers vs. New Life Christian Academy Lions

Bloomingdale is 4-0 against New Life Christian Academy since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Bloomingdale Blazers will challenge the New Life Christian Academy Lions at 4:30 p.m. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Bloomingdale is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 77-34 win over Rose Hill Christian. With that victory, the Blazers brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.

Aiden Schiedler had an outrageously good game as he dropped a triple-double on 16 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Schiedler, who posted nine points in addition to seven boards and five blocks.

Bloomingdale was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, New Life Christian Academy got the win against Ignite Athletics on Friday by a conclusive 65-43.

New Life Christian Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for Bloomingdale, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Bloomingdale didn't have too much breathing room in their game against New Life Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 72-66 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bloomingdale since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
