The Middleton Tigers's nine-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They took down Armwood 46-29. This was payback for Middleton, who suffered a 62-51 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Middleton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Felix Harrell, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harrell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Lewis Jr, who scored 11 points.
Middleton's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-13. As for Armwood, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middleton and Jefferson will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Jefferson is on a five-game streak of home losses, Middleton a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Armwood's road trip will continue as they head out to face Newsome at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Newsome aren't just struggling at home either: they haven't won a game anywhere since December 27, 2023.
