Gospel Light Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Maggie Jo Church and Hadassah Readling. Church scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks, while Readling scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds. Church has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Gospel Light Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Vandalia Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Gospel Light Christian will head out on the road to face off against Alamance Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Vandalia Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Woodland Baptist Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
