This season hasn't been kind to the A-Tech Panthers, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They lost to Medgar Evers College Prep at home by a decisive 72-56 margin on Thursday. While losing is never fun, A-Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while Medgar Evers College Prep is ranked 56th).
It was another big night for Dejon Williams, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and six assists for Medgar Evers College Prep. Another player making a difference was Joshua Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
A-Tech's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Medgar Evers College Prep, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
A-Tech will head out on the road to face off against Tilden at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tilden comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Medgar Evers College Prep will be home for the holidays to greet Uncommon at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
