Notre Dame has gone a perfect 10-0 against Welsh recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Notre Dame will be playing at home against Welsh at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Notre Dame's favor as the squad sits on 16 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Welsh has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.
If Notre Dame beats Welsh with 15 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Notre Dame put the hurt on New Iberia with a sharp 15-1 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Notre Dame got a great performance from Madaline Johnson as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Johnson has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cate Romero was a standout: she fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Malayna Daigle was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Notre Dame was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Iberia only posted a batting average of .167.
Meanwhile, Welsh didn't have quite enough to beat Lake Arthur on Thursday and fell 5-3.
Welsh saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Hayes, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Notre Dame's victory bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Welsh, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-5.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Notre Dame hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .452. However, it's not like Welsh struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Notre Dame's way against Welsh in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Notre Dame made off with a 16-1 win. Will Notre Dame repeat their success, or does Welsh has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
