Brayden Ingram made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luke Wesson, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of East Rankin Academy's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Weston Floyd, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
