Agricultural Science took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Phillips Wildcats as they made off with a 33-12 victory.
Leading Agricultural Science to victory were Maddie Jefferson and Autumn Robinson. Jefferson rushed for 100 yards and a pair of TDs, while Robinson rushed for 75 yards and two scores on only ten carries. Melanie Long was in the mix as well, providing the Cyclones with two touchdowns.
Agricultural Science didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Taya Rice and Long. Long got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Coincidentally, Agricultural Science and Phillips will both be playing Solorio the next time they take the field. The Cyclones will host the Sun Warriors at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
