The Cowan Blackhawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their tenth straight loss. They fell 45-32 to Knightstown. Cowan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Knightstown apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Several Blackhawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Savannah Hall, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Davelynn Lindsay, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Cowan's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-16. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.8 points per game. As for Knightstown, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13.
Cowan will head out on the road to challenge Southern Wells at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Knightstown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Morristown at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Morristown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Thursday.
