Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Westley Burchianti, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. Burchianti hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Bryce Wright, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Avella has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Cornell, their victory bumped their record up to 3-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Avella will take on Carlynton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Pennsylvania (Carlynton is ranked 620th, while Avella is ranked 606th). As for Cornell, they will head out on the road to take on Western Beaver at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cornell is coming into the contest with 13 straight wins on the road, meaning Western Beaver will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
